Welcome! The following policies are designed to ensure clear expectations and ethical practice. By utilizing the services of Kelli Morin, LCSW, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Emergency Contact and Crisis Protocol (CRITICAL)

Kelli Morin, LCSW's practice is designed for routine mental health support and is NOT a crisis management center. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, crisis, or are in danger of harming yourself or others, please use the following resources immediately:

  • Dial 988: National Suicide & Crisis Lifeline

  • Dial 911: For immediate police, medical, or emergency assistance.

  • Go to the nearest emergency room.

If you are a current client experiencing an urgent matter that is not life-threatening, please leave a message or send an email, and I will return your communication as soon as possible.

2. Confidentiality

All information shared in therapy sessions is held in the strictest confidence. Confidentiality is protected by law, with the following exceptions:

  • If I suspect abuse or neglect of a child, elderly person, or disabled person.

  • If I believe a client is in immediate danger of harming themselves or another person.

  • If a court order requires the release of information.

3. Fees and Payment

  • Consultations: The initial 15-minute phone consultation is offered at no charge.

  • Session Fees: Standard session fees are discussed during the initial consultation. Payment is due at the time of service.

  • Insurance: [Your wife's insurance information goes here, e.g., "I am an out-of-network provider. I can provide you with a superbill (detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement."]

4. Cancellation Policy

To effectively manage the scheduling of clients, I maintain a strict cancellation policy.

  • Clients must provide a minimum of 48 hours' notice for any cancellation or rescheduling request.

  • Sessions canceled with less than 48 hours' notice will be charged the full session fee.

5. Virtual Therapy Acknowledgment

As therapy is provided virtually, you are responsible for ensuring your physical location is within the states where Kelli Morin, LCSW is licensed to practice (New York and New Jersey) at the time of service. You are also responsible for securing a private, quiet space for our sessions to protect your confidentiality.
